Feeding Basics
Before arrival, puppy-proof your space by securing loose wires, removing toxic plants, and setting up a dedicated 'safe zone' with a comfortable bed and water bowl. Stock up on high-quality food, a soft leash, and plenty of safe chew toys.
Focus on bonding and calmness. Keep visitors to a minimum so your puppy can adjust to new sights and smells. Establish a consistent routine for feeding and potty breaks immediately to help them feel secure in their new environment.
Provide three small meals a day using the high-quality puppy food recommended by Kendall. Use a consistent schedule and avoid table scraps. Always ensure fresh water is available and monitor their weight as they grow.
Crate & Potty Training
View the crate as a positive 'den'. Use treats and praise. For potty training, take them out frequently—especially after sleeping, eating, or play—and reward successful trips outside immediately with verbal praise and a small treat.
Socialization
Expose your puppy to gentle handling, different surfaces, and various household sounds. Once fully vaccinated, introduce them to new environments and friendly dogs to build confidence and develop a well-rounded temperament.
Ongoing Vet Care
Maintain a schedule for booster shots, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick control. Annual wellness checks are vital for long-term health. Keep your breeder updated—we love hearing how our babies are thriving in their forever homes!

Early Socialization & Manners
